‘My transition into make-up artistry was rather unexpected. I worked as a communication liaison within a major agricultural enterprise — an industry worlds away from beauty. Yet, I’ve come to realise that the skills I honed in that role are incredibly valuable on set; truly understanding and collaborating with art direction to bring creative visions to life through the model’s look. For me, creating shapes, exploring textures, and mixing colours is a form of self-expression. I also find this work, such as perfecting a hairstyle, to be deeply therapeutic. My aesthetic is quite bold — I love to push boundaries. But I also appreciate a natural look and take great care in highlighting those little imperfections, which I see as unique perfections, while cherishing skincare. I always make an effort to give my models a mini facial treatment. Ultimately, it’s about both the art and the human connection; the balance between creativity and personal attention is what makes this work so special to me.’
